The sleepy mountainside village of Edremit overlooks the Mediterranean, and is situated in the foothills of Hilarion mountain. In this small tranquil village traditional crafts and activities can still be seen.  Nearby attractions include the Levantine college of Art for anyone interested in painting holidays or art classes.  Hilarion Castle and the exclusive Hideaway holiday complex with excellent swimming pool.

There are lots of interesting and well marked walks in the vicinity.  The sea approximately 3 - 4 km.  The pretty picturesque village of Karaman with four or five restaurants and bars, 1 km.  Hilarion Castle at the top of the mountain range, approximately 2km.  Many other mountain  walks including routes to other villages such as Ilgaz, where you can have lunch at "The Farm" - a Cypriot Farm, or "Hoots" a British pub.
